Lesson 15 - InDesign: Cool Flexible Image Grid
Some Fun Art Using Pictures
Step #1
Before we get into the tutorial, let's set up our page in InDesign. You pretty much know how to do this already, but we want to make sure the page is LANDSCAPE instead of PORTRAIT!
First, open up InDesign by clicking the icon that looks like this:

At the first screen you see, choose Create New Document.

Click the Page Size arrow and choose Letter.

Make sure that the Orientation is Landscape. Then click OK.

This is your 8.5 x 11 "Canvas", just like in Photoshop.
This is your "paper" that you will be working on.
Your Toolbar and Palettes may not be just like the ones on the tutorials, but you can find any missing palettes under the WINDOWS menu tab.
LANDSCAPE
Step #2
OK, it's time to check out the tutorial. BUT FIRST, you will need a pair of headphones. Please use your own, but if you don't have a pair, just ask me!
Also, he is going to tell you to go to BRIDGE to get images. I want you to find your own images and save them to the DESKTOP instead. So when he says "Go to Bridge and get your images", go to the desktop and drag them into InDesign from there!
So, before you start, go to Google Images and find 6 pictures that you like. They can be the same theme, or different, or they can come from wherever you like.
Don't worry too much about the picture size for now.
Click View Image and CONTROL + CLICK to save to the Desktop.
Once you have 6 images, click the tutorial below.
It's pretty cool! InDesign can do a lot of neat tricks!
